Smart homes are turning mirrors into control hubs. A smart mirror combines a touchscreen, voice control, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, integrated LED lighting and entertainment in one surface. At K11 Musea in Hong Kong, magic mirrors link with streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu.

AI and computer vision are moving mirrors from display to diagnosis. Skin analysis, virtual makeup, fitness tracking and personalized recommendations are now core features. Samsung showed a MICRO LED Beauty Mirror with skin assessment in January 2025. In January 2026, Nura Logix introduced a Longevity Mirror that returns health-related assessments from a 30-second selfie, and Nestlé Health Science launched the Solgar Smart Mirror with AI facial scanning for wellness insights.

Retail is where personalization becomes revenue. Virtual try-ons, digital product information and interactive displays help stores stand out. At CES 2025 and NRF 2025, MySize launched a virtual try-on solution that pairs AI-based sizing with visualization, so shoppers can judge fit before buying.

Hospitality and wellness are the next frontier. Hotels can bundle lighting, entertainment and room information into the mirror. Salons, spas and gyms can add styling previews, skin analysis and workout guidance. In August 2026, IMBODY launched its Power S strength-training system in India with a 43-inch smart mirror aimed at residential, fitness and hospitality use.

The main brake is privacy. Cameras, microphones and biometric sensors in bedrooms and bathrooms raise data-security concerns. Manufacturers that offer encryption, secure authentication, local data processing and transparent privacy policies are best placed to ease them.

Smart Mirror Market Segments: Where Revenue Sits vs. Where Growth Is Heading

By distribution channel: Offline sales made up 70.0% of 2025 revenue, because buyers of high-value tech want to see display quality and get a demonstration first. Online is forecast to grow fastest at 10.5%, as e-commerce lets shoppers compare specifications, prices and reviews. The likely outcome is a hybrid journey, with showroom evaluation followed by digital purchase. That is my interpretation of the two figures.

The report's analyst perspective points to a shift in how brands compete: advantage will depend on affordability, technological reliability, ecosystem compatibility and meaningful use cases, rather than on simply adding features. Established and specialist players include Electric Mirror, Séura, Hidden Television, Majestic Mirror & Frame, AVIS Electronics and Feit Electric. All are pushing AI personalization, voice control and smart home connectivity.
