Eubiotics Market Questions Answered: Size, Growth, Leaders and Regions
Market Size & Growth
The eubiotics market was worth USD 6.3 billion in 2025. The 2026 estimate of USD 6.8 billion implies roughly 8% growth in a single year, and the 2033 forecast of USD 12.6 billion is double the 2025 base. At a 9.1% CAGR, the eubiotics market is expanding faster than the livestock sector it serves.
Two forces drive this. The first is a favorable regulatory scenario that bans or restricts antibiotics in animal feed. The second is growing global meat consumption. Together they mean producers must raise more animals with fewer antibiotics, and eubiotics fill that gap. This makes growth in the eubiotics market policy-pulled as well as demand-pulled, which is a more durable driver than a short-term meat price cycle.
Pricing follows raw material availability, agro-climatic conditions and regional rules. Buyers are price-sensitive, so manufacturers compete on process innovation and low-cost sourcing. Even so, fast-growing end-use applications are expected to push prices up moderately over the forecast period. Products reach farms through feed mills, pre-mixers and specialty distributors, or are sold directly to integrated feed producers.

Key Market Segments
Product: Probiotics Lead, Organic Acids Follow
Probiotics held the largest share at 40.4% in 2025. Rising awareness of their role in animal feed, ongoing R&D and broad portfolios from major suppliers all support this position. Organic acids ranked second. They preserve forage and grain by suppressing bacterial and mold pathogens, and they are used for pigs, aquaculture and poultry. Propionic acid has seen especially strong demand, both as a feed preservative and as a growth promoter in poultry and pigs. Prebiotics, phytogenics and enzymes complete the product landscape.
Form: Solid Dominates, Liquid Gains Ground
Solid forms captured 60.4% of revenue in 2025. Flakes, beadlets and cross-linked beadlets protect actives against light, moisture, heat and mechanical stress during feed production, which keeps them stable and bioavailable. Liquid formats are gaining with feed formulators because they are cheaper and help reduce enteric pathogens and gastric pH.
Application: Gut Health Is the Anchor
Gut health accounted for 35.8% of revenue in 2025, backed by a shift toward preventive animal healthcare. Probiotics, prebiotics, organic acids and essential oils are used alone or in combination to support gut integrity. Immunity is the other major application. Newborn and growing animals are especially vulnerable to parasitic, viral and bacterial infections, so supporting their immune systems is a priority for producers.

End Use: Poultry Sets the Pace
Poultry led with a 37.7% share in 2025. Chicken is the most widely consumed meat because it is low-priced, lean and faces fewer religious and cultural barriers. Swine feed follows, driven by demand for disease-free pork, while cattle feed benefits from rising dairy and beef consumption. Eubiotics improve productivity and milk yield in dairy herds.
Regional Breakdown
Europe held a 43.0% revenue share in 2025, which means every other region combined accounts for the remaining 57.0%. Italy, France and Germany have seen sharp growth in meat consumption. Germany stands out for strict EU standards, high animal-welfare expectations and demand for residue-free meat. Suppliers there must offer strong efficacy data, traceable supply chains and sustainability credentials. Germany is therefore both a demanding customer and a launchpad for higher-specification products across Europe.
North America is driven by rising demand for animal products and a thriving feed industry across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The U.S. held the largest national share in 2025. Its market is mature, with strong adoption of precision nutrition, microbiome-targeted products and evidence-based probiotics in poultry and swine. Integrators want measurable gains in feed conversion, backed by trial data.
Asia Pacific is one of the fastest-emerging regions. Rising beef and pork consumption in Japan, China, India and South Korea is lifting feed additive demand. China is one of the largest and fastest-growing national markets, thanks to its scale in poultry, swine and aquaculture and national policies that cut in-feed antibiotic use. Domestic manufacturers are investing heavily in probiotic strains, post-biotics and phytogenic extracts.
Latin America is expanding alongside commercial poultry and swine output and strong animal-protein exports. Importing countries’ residue standards push producers toward probiotics, prebiotics and phytogenics. Larger integrators in Brazil and Argentina are adopting value-added gut-health solutions faster, while smaller buyers still compete on cost.
Middle East & Africa shows uneven adoption. Advanced operations in the Gulf and South Africa use probiotics and acidifiers, while many Sub-Saharan producers are small and price-sensitive. Variable cold-chain logistics make live probiotics harder to deliver, which raises demand for stable formulations and on-farm training.
Major Industry Players
The eubiotics market is fragmented, and local manufacturers, traders and regional operators hold much of the share. Established players compete on product portfolio, supply chain, technology, price and R&D. Companies profiled in the Grand View Research report include:
- dsm-firmenich
- Novus International, Inc.
- UAS Laboratories
- Lallemand, Inc.
- Calpis Co., Ltd.
- Advanced BioNutrition Corp
- BENEO
- BEHN MEYER
- Lesaffre Group
- Kemin Industries, Inc.
- DuPont de Nemours, Inc.
Capacity is moving closer to demand. In August 2025, dsm-firmenich Animal Nutrition & Health commissioned a feed additives facility of about 11,200 square meters in Jadcherla, near Hyderabad, India, with dedicated capacity for mycotoxin risk-management solutions. The report also notes that several countries, especially in the Middle East, have too few suppliers, which leaves room for new entrants.
Outlook
The eubiotics market is moving from antibiotic replacement toward performance-proven gut and immune management. Suppliers that pair stable formulations (especially where cold chains are weak) with trial data and local technical support are best placed to win share through 2033.
